Getting to Know Miss Jenn!

What can families expect from Miss Jenn’s class?

All different caregivers are bringing children to my classes. I use the word “grown-up” to be more inclusive. I go with the flow of the class. If the children need something upbeat, I might switch up the order of the songs, etc.

Why Miss Jenn loves the Kindermusik way!

My first experience was watching the video and I thought it looked ridiculous and cheesy, honestly. I couldn’t imagine teaching it myself. But, when I saw Lisa teaching a class in person, I saw the benefits immediately. I love the bonding time and presence that it creates, demands, and allows for families to be together. And, I believe all of the brain research that supports Kindermusik.

What amazes Miss Jenn about class time?

It amazes me because it shows that Kindermusik works. Music’s connection to the brain is so strong and it stimulates the children in ways that nothing else can! Movement WITH music combines even more areas of the brain and memory.

What are some of the common, yet extraordinary things that happen in class that make Miss Jenn want to teach again and again?

I love getting to see first steps or other “firsts”. I love when a little one that can’t speak yet uses a sign language learned through music class. I also love when certain songs come on and they remember what movement, pitch, words, activity goes with it.
